- The part about AGA in one chip was planned by CBM way back when to
- help further lower costs so that's not something bogus sounding at all.
- The 68080 bit, however, sounds a bit hard to believe (although it could
- fit in with their must retain full backwards compatibility bit [although I
- can't say there are all that many truly up to date Amiga games out there to
- make such a compatbility level so crucial, especially for AGA, notmuchout
- there and all the DOOM clones don't go to its strong points
- nor do the Simon the Socerors use it's unique features for that matter]).
- VIScorp would have to be virtually 100% sure of massive set top box sales to
- get Motorolla to go along with this. I don't see how they could get Motorolla
- to risk a huge cash outlay on developing a 68080. If this message isn't a
- hoax, which the 080 comment really, really makes it seem like, then the whole
- consortium VIS mentioned must be rather together, rather powerful and a tad
- confident to say the least.
- If they managed a nicely updated AAA with 3D or updated Hombre
- that would be great though. Still the whole 080 bit sounds so crazy.
